For its 2025 Annual Report, Giga created an explorable digital environment that translates nine years of studio activity into a discoverable planet. Instead of a static document, data becomes landscape: trees, rocks, and flowers form a navigable world where projects, processes, and events are experienced through exploration and interaction.
The intent was to move away from conventional, data-heavy reports and present the outcomes those metrics already produced. Using Giga Dash, the studio’s internal management system, project data was structured and exposed through a custom dashboard, becoming the direct source for procedural generation within the environment.
Each tree represents a single project. Its form, scale, color, and composition are generated from project-specific data using a fixed seed, ensuring consistency and uniqueness. Leaves and fruits correspond to collaborators, with each person assigned a distinct visual element, embedding individual contributions directly into the landscape.
Beyond trees, the environment includes rocks and flowers as additional data layers. Rocks encode studio principles, tools, and recurring processes, grouped into categories. Flowers represent news and events—exhibitions, prizes, talks—marking moments of visibility and exchange within the broader ecosystem of the studio.
The planet is fully explorable in first person. By simply looking at elements, users collect them, unlocking detailed descriptions, images, and references. Hidden power-ups and special objects reward curiosity. The Annual Report becomes time spent rather than information consumed—a quiet, data-driven world where structure and play coexist.
