Giga — Camperlab (autoupload)

Camperlab is Camper's experimental offshoot, relaunched under the creative direction of Achilles Ion Gabriel with an identity rooted in distortion and subversion. Moving beyond footwear to stake its claim as an independent fashion house, the brand came to Giga with a precise request: build a visual system capable of entering high fashion on its own terms — differentiating from Camper, attracting a conscious luxury audience, and establishing a mark with the weight of a talisman.
During early conversations in Mallorca, Camperlab's team kept returning to a single word: sinister. The inability to access vital information. Unpredictability. The image that crystallised it was a reptile: motionless, precise, capable of sudden violence. The brand was shedding skin. What lay beneath wasn't loud, ironic, or minimal — it threatened through stillness. This became the formal principle: tension between classicism and modernity, embedded at the level of individual letterforms. Aberrations small enough to read as elegance. Noticeable only when looked at closely.
The final system is built around a custom serif logotype — sharp, extended, and deliberately heavy — carrying a series of quiet structural aberrations: the lower vertex of the M drifting just beyond the baseline, a diagonal cut into the E's central arm, an unusual junction where the R's leg meets its crossbar. Each deviation is small enough to pass as elegance at a glance. Precision as the vehicle for unease. The monogram was pushed further from symmetry — toward something alive. It reads simultaneously as two overlapping Cs and an open snake's jaw, three points of tension pressing outward at once. The website extends the same logic through deconstructed layouts, unconventional alignments, and a single typeface at a single size — cold and clean in a way that unsettles rather than reassures. The identity debuted at Paris Fashion Week SS26, appearing engraved, embossed, stitched, in metal and leather across every surface. What was designed as a mark found its function in material presence.
