True Unpredictability.
Sinister, quietly dangerous, like a reptile. The new identity for Camperlab is built on tension and strangeness.
Since its relaunch under Achilles Ion Gabriel, Camperlab has developed a strong anarchic identity grounded in camp aesthetic, distortion and subversion. Our role was to translate this narrative into a identity system that would feel striking, symbolic, and unmistakably Camperlab.
We worked on the new visual identity of Camperlab, with a focus on the design of a custom logotype and a monogram. The aim was to create a bold, unconventional mark that could capture the brand’s experimental spirit and evolving design language.
The logotype features a custom serif typeface, designed to be sharp, extended, and heavy in weight. It features bold contrasts and unexpected details that create a sense of tension and movement. Never static, never neutral. Its elongated forms and pointed terminals echo the brand’s twisted take on elegance.
Alongside the logotype, we designed a monogram that plays with ambiguity. Designed to feel alive, it opens like a snake’s mouth: fluid, symbolic, and ready to strike. It captures the duality at the heart of the project: style and danger, precision and unpredictability.
