ABC Zattere is the new restaurant located within Scuola Piccola Zattere. A cultural gathering place in the heart of Venice, offering seasonal slow food, natural wines, and artisanal dishes inspired by the local Venetian terroir and the produce from Sant’Erasmo island.
ABC stands for Arte, Bar, and Cucina, playfully expanding the "school" concept through an exploration of alphabets and language. The identity of ABC Zattere embraces language in a radical, experimental manner: deconstructing and recomposing words as a metaphor for creating and developing ideas.
By merging education and playfulness, a geometric square grid forms the basis for versatile, generative graphics, allowing dynamic visual compositions. The approach embodies sincerity, reflecting a kitchen philosophy that is communal, adaptable, and straightforward centered on fresh ingredients. Unpretentious yet mindful of the profound beauty of simplicity.
The completely renovated space has been designed by Fosbury Architecture. Developed in harmony with the institution's identity and cultural programming, Fosbury’s concept for the restaurant establishes a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, drawing inspiration from Venice’s distinctive context. Particular care was dedicated to the courtyard, conceived as a vibrant gathering place ideal for both cultural activities and social interactions.
