Giga — Studio Manager

STUDIO MANAGER

Giga is looking for a Studio Manager to take ownership of the studio's operational decisions, with progressive autonomy in client relationships and commercial activity.

As Giga has grown into a multidisciplinary studio (visual identity, digital platforms, interactive installations, consultancy), we need someone who can keep projects moving with clarity, allocate resources with intention, and free the partners from day-to-day operations so they can focus on creative and strategic direction.

The role sits between the partners and the senior team, working across every discipline (visual, digital, interaction, development) without belonging exclusively to any of them.

We're looking for someone experienced who knows how to navigate the design industry and can manage people, projects and clients. You don't need a traditional project-management background: designers who have naturally taken on coordination and client responsibilities are very welcome to apply.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You've worked in design, technology or creative-production environments, as a project manager or as a designer, and know how these projects actually run.
  • You’re systematic without being rigid, proactive by default, and you communicate to reduce ambiguity: direct with the team, calm with clients, precise with partners.
  • You take responsibility for outcomes and hold yourself to the standards you ask of the team.
  • You have genuine curiosity for design and technology: Giga works at the intersection of culture, communication and technology, and this role has to care about that context, even without practising it directly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Project management

  • Make sure every project starts right (ownership, scope, timeline, etc.)
  • Track progress against scope, timeline and budget, intervening early when a project risks overrunning.
  • Keep client requests inside scope, managing out-of-scope ones.
  • Confirm internal alignment before anything reaches a client.

Operational management

  • Be the operational point of reference for the team
  • Own the studio's daily and weekly rhythm, clearing priorities and resolving blockers before they hit timelines.
  • Run a weekly planning session with the seniors allocating resources by project, deadline and budget.
  • Keep a live view of studio capacity and rebalance proactively, updating the partners once a week.
  • Track time, progress and capacity in real time on our custom management system (after a detailed training session on the usage).
  • Coordinate the project manager, supporting their growth and their client-facing work.

Client relationships and business development

  • Create a strong relationship with the client.
  • Spot upsell, extension and continuity opportunities, proposing new scopes if needed.
  • Support new-business meetings, quotes and strategic presentations alongside the partners.

Process improvement

  • Keep Giga's Playbook alive in practice and studio documentation accurate and useful.
  • Spot friction and inefficiency, propose improvements to workflows and tools, and implement them.

YOUR SKILLS

  • 8+ years of experience in design, digital or creative-production environments.
  • Solid command of project planning, capacity management and budget monitoring.
  • Familiarity with the phases and logic of design and development projects,
  • Ability to build and validate quotes together with creative and technical leads.
  • Fluency with project-management and time-tracking tools.
  • Professional written and spoken communication in Italian and English.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A stimulating, creative and informal environment, with a multidisciplinary team of around twenty people.
  • A genuine operational-leadership role with real decision authority.
  • A welcoming selection process, closing by end of October.
  • An onboarding through Q1 2027 to get to know the team and how we work, fully operational from Q2 2027.
  • Gross annual salary (RAL) in the range €45,000 – €65,000, in line with the CCNL Terziario (Confcommercio), depending on seniority and relevant experience.
  • This role is intended as a full-time position. A freelance arrangement may also be considered, with terms to be discussed individually upon request.
  • Remote-working flexibility available after an initial in-studio onboarding period.
  • Lunch together, offered by the studio, as a moment to connect with the team.
